The Problem With DIY Delivery
A 65" television can weigh 40–65 lbs and measure nearly 5 feet across the box — awkward enough on its own, but genuinely difficult in a typical Montreal triplex with a narrow staircase, tight turns, or a walk-up with no elevator. A single person carrying a large TV alone risks dropping it, cracking the panel, or damaging a stairwell wall.
What Montreal Homes Actually Require
Older Plateau and Mile End triplexes often have steep exterior staircases and narrow interior doorways. Downtown and Griffintown condo towers usually have service elevators with weight and size limits, and booking windows that need to be reserved in advance. Getting a large screen from a delivery van to your living room safely typically takes two trained people, proper corner protection, and a vehicle large enough to transport the box flat or upright without flexing the panel.
How We Handle It
Every TechValetMTL delivery includes a two-person team, a properly sized vehicle, and protective wrapping for hallways and doorframes. We also offer free packaging removal during our launch promotion — no flattened boxes left in your hallway or on the curb.
